Grateful for advice about valuation for my Mini 30. It is the black version and automatic. I have owned the car for over 4 years and have used it as daily driver (in good weather). Over that period I have spent quite a lot of money keeping her in good condition including keeping her rust free, a new rear subframe and suspension parts. She shows 59k on the odometer and this may be accurate looking at previous MOTs and the general condition of the car. She took three of us to the Beaulieu Mini Cooper show a couple of months ago, in hot weather, at 60+ mph and didn't miss a beat.

 

I am selling it now because I now have my woody back on the road

Thanks, that's useful to know. I have been following prices of similar, but manual, 30s for a while and they seem to be priced more between £6-9k (although the price sought does not necessarily reflect the price obtained). I did wonder if autos were more or less desirable and your estimate suggests less. There are only 7 of these left on the road according to the official figures and, if she was only worth about £5k I think I would be tempted to keep her especially as I have spent quite a lot keeping her in very good condition. Very grateful to you for responding. I will keep an eye out for prices and may put her up for sale for a higher figure to see what happens - after all, anything is only worth what someone is prepared to pay! If she doesn't sell then I will be happy to keep her.

Hi Mike,

 

Perhaps I biased, but I always considered Autos less desirable, and hence priced it lower than the manual counterparts, but don't take my word for it.

 

You could just stick it on higher, as it only takes one automatic enthusiastic buyer to come along.
