Your making really good progress with this!

Do you add more metal to the step repair where it curves towards B post?

Then the Rear

Those panels at either side of the boot arent the best for repairing either side, theyre a cover panel really that is meant to go over the rear sub frame mounting. They dont provide any boot floor to go under the rear sub frame mount, which is needed as part of the reinforcement.

Not the best picture but you would be better with these (or some of these panels) from M machine.

Then you can cut what you need (or use the whole panel as you might need to)

The sub frame mount wants to go on top of that panel, not below.

I then did this to fit my rear valance.

Please dont take this as criticism as your doing great mate, just wanted to post a few pics in case you have the chance to pick up a few different panels which might work better for you

Be interesting to see what you achieve with these as I've the same magnum repair panels for my boot floor. I was going to flatten the indentation that goes over the strenghtener, add some material to fill the gap, then leave the lip as it is and plug weld to arch from inside the boot.

There is nothing wrong with the panels you are using if you apply a modicum of fettling, trying to easily replicate the original setup.Keep up the good work.I would scribe the overlaps cut the edges flush and butt weld.Enjoy,Steve..

I've got the same 'repair' panels for my boot floor, I didn't realise that was what they were sending actually but we'll make it work

I've ordered replacement strengthening brackets both sides, gonna cut off the old brackets, tack the new ones to the repair panels with holes lined up / bolted in place to subframe, unbolt, take into the garage and fully seam weld them in underneath.. then fit the panels again, weld them in all round (obviously in place of the old metal though not just over the top)

later when the subframe is off, I''ll lose whatever is left of the 2 extra plates underneath and just replace them with nice new metal.  as long as it's 3 layers total and all the panels look good and welded securely I can't see how it'll matter.  plus it'll look a bit better being sort of smooth from floor into bracket.  the part going over the wheel arch will also be properly seamwelded rather than just spot welded

it'll probably be stronger + tidier than it ever was coming out of the factory
