Yes got them on the ram pipes on my 45 Weber work really well. The first set lasted about 8 years before needing replacement

Ok lovely. How close to the end of the trumpet can they go?
How are they held on a tie wrap?
I have heard a few horror stories about them getting sucked in. I guess they would be a cheap version?

Minimum distance from the end of the ram pipe is 20mm. And then a cable tie to fix. They are 3 layer on the sides and end and I think too stiff to be sucked in, as you say probably a cheap version. I am also using pipercross full radius 60mm rampipes so the tie pulls it tight under the radius

And how thick is the foam on them. I guess about 20mm?

Sorry no idea.

don’t forget you also need clearance from top of sock to any solid surface.

I have them on my racer only issue I had once was starting it up, (always with bonnet off) the weber spluttered and f@rted and popped back and set one on fire... it was a tiny fire easily put out by my hand whacking the foam filter...once the car is running of course it doesnt pop back through the carb...just something to be aware of..... I always start mine bonnet off so I can see whats going on
