Hi Everyone,
When I bought my '62 Mini, she had what I think was a Mk 2 turn indicator. It controlls the turn signals, high beams, and if you press inward, it sounds the horn.
While driving, the horn wire broke inside of the body of the indicator, so I decided to replace it with this part:

I'm having trouble with the wires though. And I'm embarrassed because I need to get much better at understanding wiring, and I don't know how to wire it up correctly.

It has 5 wires, 4 of which are green and 1 is brown.
When I connect the one I've labeled as "12v power" to the car's power, then "left" to where my old indicator's left signal connected, and "right" to right --- I'm able to get the turn signals to work fine. When I touch "blinker" to the "left" while I'm indicating a left turn, the light under the green dome at the end of the shaft will blink, too. And I love it!
When I make "blinker" touch "right" as I indicate right, I get the blink as well.
Problem:
How do I wire it up so I can get the blinking light to work in either direction? I can't make the "blinker" wire touch both "left" and "right" at the same time because that would make both the left and right turn signals blink at once.
And what is the brown wire for?
Thank you guys,
Ryan
