Got to say, this really is unappealing.

Wrong tail lights.

Wrong headlights.

Wrong spots.

Wrong ride height.

Wrong wheels.

Wrong paint.

Engine is sweat as are the seats.

Huge huge money.

Yep. Every time I see one of their Minis, it looks like an overpriced monstrosity, I guess someone is buying them, each to their own.

Quality work, not to my taste; I've never figured out the 'reimagined' part about it though.

reimagined = not what Issigonis imagined.  i.e. originally a cheap car for the masses, and now reimagined as an over priced car, only for the rich, go figure.

I think I'd rather have a Mini Madgwick.

I never liked deseamed minis, it takes away from the original style.

I can’t understand where the 100k price comes from either

Buy yourself an old mini and pay a professional company to rebuild it for you with new bits,
Pay an engine builder to build a top quality engine for you

Surely that wouldn’t be more than about £40k tops

You could buy two original cooper s’s for the kind of money DBA wants for one of theirs
Also yours would be 1 of 1 not 1 of 60

You would think for that price you would at least get an 130mph 'S' speedo to go with the extra bhp, or is the 90mph speedo designed to allow the 'retro' extra excitement of getting the needle around to the fuel gauge....

No doubt there is very high build quality but overall all the JB Minis needs toning down and made a bit more subtle and tasteful in the looks department, rather like the 1960's Radford Mini De Ville's always did.

Cannot say am a fan of the tail-lights or paint, though do like the deseaming.

However for the price would expect the Mini Remastered to have been more extensively modernized amongst other things then it currently is. Surely DBA could at least draw inspiration from previous coachbuilt cars (e.g. Radford, Wood & Pickett, Pavesi, etc) as well as various stillborn Mini projects (e.g. Minki, Minki 2) with regards to optional hatchback or split-tailgate conversions? Have read even ERA gave some thought to having the ERA Mini Turbo feature a hatchback during its development.
