Well folks tomorrow Sunday 25th April is 'drive it day', an excuse to get your classic car out and on the road for possibly the first time this year, mine hadn't moved since October, got it out today and washed. Looking like nice weather tomorrow, I might take it for a little run to join in with the spirit of the event.

Got mine out tonight to prepare for tomorrow only to have a clutch slave leak. Doh!

Beautiful day here, had a nice little run around local back roads and stopped for a few photos. Filled it up with fresh petrol as what was left in it was from last October.

I go out for a spin at least a couple of times a week all year round. I popped out yesterday in the hope of seeing another mini but alas no. In 2 1/2 years I've never seen another one on the road.

Did I by change pass one of these around 3.00pm on Sunday, going east towards Ditchling? I was in my red RSP.

It feels nice seeing photos like this one. Very neat and natural.

I didn't realize it was 'drive it day'. Funnily enough the mini moved under its own steam yesterday for the first time since my ownership  :D (10 years) it was only on the driveway but i'm going to count it  :shifty:

Did anyone get out and enjoy this year's drive it day?  its been really useful for me this year, as I was determined to get the car fully sorted by that date and it gave me something to aim for - I think it serves its purpose well in that way.

We had a great run with a "proper" classic car club in central Scotland, unfortunately for most of the day it was incredibly wet, and my wipers completely packed up after the first hour - thats my mini-project for this week.  Made it exciting though!  We were the only classic Mini on the run which was nice and made a change as I'm usually upstaged by something special from the 60s!
