Well I shouldn’t have put that there ……. Need to stop encouraging myself

That looks positively naughty !

What's the sound like with the cherry bomb, that's the back box of my youth fitted to all sorts of fiestas, Clio's and novas.
I suppose it's quite fitting with the era and a huge saving over a subsequent maniflow.

Have you anymore pictures of how it sits from a distance

Cheers.

It’s sounds just right ( am still running 2nd box mid system, without this it could be a bit asbo)

As you said Much cheaper than alternative

Next time I’m out and about I’ll take sone more pics

Took off highly professional and expensive roll bar clamps ( will resell on eBay)

Put on cheaper NOS genuine clamps

I am always wary of scorning previous repairs, sometimes you have to use whatever you have or possibly can afford.Always nice to have the correct bits though.Steve..

Don’t mind / or care about scorning the idiot who cheaply cobbled together the previous repair …. It was me

Not very exciting, but interesting

Exhaust started banging away …. After a disassemble , tweak/ twist of angles and a trim of rear valence lip with an angle grinder ( similar to minis which had a small cut out to stop exhaust banging on bodywork) got it to fit better ( wasn’t fouling anywhere)

And after ordering rear hangers and a strap ( which I didn’t use….. yet) I noticed mid section hangers were …… torn.

Managed to find a new old stock rubber ( one will have to do for now) ….. £1 ….. possibly back in 80s maybe later …. With inflation and postage cost me £5.

Thanks, I ended up with a complete maniflow with lcb at a decent saving.
I've had to individualize the rears to get clearance for the exhaust though due to how low I am and the size of the connecting copper pipe along the rear beam.

How do you rate the kad quick shift, worth going for or does it tighten the gear change up too much ?
I like the thought of the longer moke too
