Choke light switch
Well it works, but pitch black night + 80s designed tiny/ cheap clips has stopped me from putting cowling back together tonight
Before
After … and works on and off with choke
Oh and if anyone knows how to remove whole headlight unit please ‘enlighten’ me .
Undone 2 nuts on one side but can’t see how other side ( nearest wing) comes out ……. Think it’s old age because it’s probably really easy!

No Haynes manual … there isn’t four mounting screws !!!!!!
2 - I found
1 - under wing
Once unit was out managed to reconnect adjusting rod ( damaged mounting lug )- hoping there is enough thread to readjust without it coming loose again
Whose that handsome fellow ?

Yes …. That would be the sensor just falling out of pad when I checked them .
All swapped over £7 ( Nos trupart)…. 998 and 45 bhp isn’t going to need Brembo race pads

Back box looks like a patchwork quilt , with lots of black soot escape holes.
So while I’m sat here waiting for maniflow to reply ( several enquiries, and as many weeks) I came up with a plan b.
Can’t get more Old school than this !!!! The eighties rocked
With the imminent change of wheels and the new tools and ability to slam suspension in weeds …. It’s gonna get fruity

So after dismantling dashboard and steering column looking for loose wiring and an in line fuse gave up .
Then during a sleepless night found ….. buried deep in Google search pages someone with same problem on a geo . Their problem was a relay in engine bay .
Lo and behold … with some cleaning and wiggling got everything to fire back into life.
So …. Does anyone know what/ where I can
Get another similar relay ? ( My electric knowledge is ….. not what it should be running classic cars)
These are only numbers I have
Thanks in advance

Needed some cutting and drilling to expose them , but on the way .
Just got last mounting point to fit ( horizontal lap point just forward of rear arch) …. Need to cut a hole in carpet .
Then put all trim back in , jobs s good un
This is becoming the best specced HLE …. 2 wing mirrors and rear seatbelts !!!!! That’s beyond high end !

Well I shouldn’t have put that there ……. Need to stop encouraging myself
That looks positively naughty !
What's the sound like with the cherry bomb, that's the back box of my youth fitted to all sorts of fiestas, Clio's and novas.
I suppose it's quite fitting with the era and a huge saving over a subsequent maniflow.
Have you anymore pictures of how it sits from a distance
