Hello.

I'm having issues with my 1991 rover mini.

Are the wiper arms original as they stick out away from the window a lot and in turns hits my bonnet when I open it. I don't remember my 1985 austin mini having this problem.

thanks

I put some of them from Minispares on my 75gt clubman and I open the bonnet half way and grab the prop and locate it otherwise I lift it too far and the paint is scraped off the rear lip of the bonnet. I haven't found any black ones that don't yet!

Those are non genuine, take care lifting the bonnet as you'll scrape the black paint off the wipers easily

Don't look right to me either.  Minispares have the proper black hook arm ones available.

thanks for the reply.

I shall look to get some genuine arms.

Being a 1991 City . Would they be black or chrome originally.

I have Minispares black ones and while at first they were ok one of them where they attach to the spindle has become wobbly the spindles are new and as I don't take the car out in the rain they have only been used for 2 mot checks.

That's rubbish! I think mine has genuine replacement arms which haven't been a problem.

What did MiniSpares say when you told them?

So got my replacements ones from mini spares.

You can see the difference from the old ones. The old ones seem original but had been bent at some point. Or they could have been from another car.

Either way the new ones no longer touch my bonnet when I open it.

Just bought the kit that came with blades as the old ones were knackered anyway. £23 posted so not bad.
