For 4k you should be able to get a good cooper but my advice is to get one around the 1996/1997 age as they will be better condition.

welcome to the site guitar jim! i see you like guitars too! for 4k you have a wide horizon for a mini, thats a good price. My advice would be too find one which is running well and has no obvious rust, at that price it shouldnt be too hard to find!
