"If you’re in the market for an Interstyl Hustler 6, your luck is in. This wonderful one-owner has been found after almost two decades languishing in a suburban garage in the West Midlands, and it’s being offered for sale. The car, which comes with a full set of documentation is being offered on a ‘sealed bid’ basis."

(The Hustler was a Mini-based project designed in 1978 by Aston Martin Lagonda designer William Towns and later developed into a kit car by his Interstyl design studio).

Personally I think the AM Lagonda is a good enough reason to involve an Italian when designing a car. This offspring should probably have never left the drawing board .... unless it actually IS the drawing board!

It’s different and not everyone’s cup of tea.

We had one at the workshop. The previous owner had put a hot 1380 in it, all of the subframes were galvanised, Cooper S spec brakes etc so a lot of money spent on it. Never saw it drive but it was roomy inside.

Always thought they were fibreglass body? Looks like a frightening mix of garden shed and conservatory, can you imagine how that would explode in a crash? 😲

I used to have a mini Marcos - 1st time I took it for a MOT I used a local garage, the MOT tester had worked for Ford Advanced Vehicles in Slough and helped build GT40's and support them at race meetings. He said they were racing at Brands and somebody had a full size Marcos (they had a plywood chassis too).  The guy spun it on the straight and hit the pit wall flat out, there was a massive explosion and the only thing left of the car was a section of floor with the seat still attached and the driver still holding the steering wheel ...the MOT tester said everything else shattered to bits.

So yes, you are 100% correct, they do tend to break into bits!
