More than likely it's the same part, just with a cut to make it left or right.
Bracket doesn't look too complex either, just a folded piece for flat with 2x tapped hopes and 2x through holes.

A scan of both sides with a steel rule on the scanner bed for scale, draw up mudflap in CAD and then make a 3d printed mold to do some trial mudflaps.

Sounds simple enough, have a friend whos an engineer that'll have these skills, I'll give him a nudge and see where this goes!
Today I spent a few mins testfitting the heater controls and radio in the main dash panel. Both only fit if I slightly change the angle on the dash so it doesn't hit the original Mini dash rails behind it when inserted.
The controls will sit about a cm away from the original metal panel with a spacer that also holds the side vents, so its not much off. I may even choose to angle the front trim piece entirely to match the angle of the radio here to give everything a bit more clearance. The radio slot in the original dash is wide enough for the head unit itself, but not the typical bracket that comes with them, so another item to modify.
Managed to pull the heater controls apart as well, tons of rust but I'm pretty sure I can refurb it nicely.

If you get round to scanning it, could you send me a copy of it too. I have a 3d printer that I could print the mold 😎😎

I'll scan it soon for sure, easy job. May not get around to the modelling/moulding part anytime soon though :) I'll post when they're done. As for progress on the car, dealing with some conundrums. Over here I can get away with not having a fog light or reverse light, but as I'm already adding a giant third brake light for visibility/safety reasons, I am contemplating adding them to the car.
I don't like the look of those giant Lucas reverse lamps on the boot, so initially bought some Hella ones that DNS classics also sell, but I'm not sure about the looks as they are a bit modern / race car-y. Tried em on the parcel shelve as well, didn't like the looks.
I might end up buying something along these lines, but at the same time I would only add them for the increased safety of visibility. Hiding them out of sight would negate that, so they'd have to be proper bright...
Then finally received an order from ABS in the UK after some shipping hassles:
I originally bought this Mini after playing around in Forza Horizon 2 years ago, and had made a blue car with a spoiler. I like these RGM spoilers due to their subtle-ty (?) but now that it's on the car, I'm not 100% convinced! Could be the fitting and colour that are throwing me off at the moment though.
To keep me entertained I revised my giant excel list of remaining To-Do items for the next few months, currently rethinking the heating system under the dash to work together with the Porsche dashboard controls. More on that later :)

Why not use glass beehive type lamps (Lucas L594) - similar to the front indicators?
Or the similar ones with the flat lens (Lucas L488)

Maybe the round lights in a chrome bullet style housing attached to the bumper roughly where you have it?
RE: mudflaps, thanks for that, I had some free time and drew up a quick model based on your photos 😂

Hehe yeah the car I set out to build does not have to resemble an authentic look-a-like; I'd rather make period modifications or modernizations that don't catch the eye instantly, all with the aim of getting a car I like the looks of, while allowing me to drive it as often as possible instead of standing still in the garage afraid of getting it scratched.
I bought those fog/reverse lights after seeing them on the DSN website and I believe your car i am brian. I would prefer if they were tucked in a bit further towards the bumper, hence I did not purchase it from them. I didn't want to use the 'indicator style' lamps either as their light output isn't what I hoped for. I'd simply hate for someone to drive in to me while reversing, hence I'd like to add a nice bright light. I'm currently contemplating if I should make a new LED strip that would house both the third brake light in red LED's and the reverse in white. That won't be very "in your face" in terms of looks when they're off, but really clear once they are on

The indicator style ones can be quite bright - don't forget they have a lower wattage bulb as an indicator. Lots of race lads use them in the rear window as a rain light.
The flat one can be recessed and made to look quite subtle.

I've got the indicator type ones on my mini and they're bright enough. even with standard bulbs in.

I'm digging the spoiler! I think if you're able to bring the ride height down a tag it'll help it to tie in better with the rest of the build.
