Track only no road use (I have a spare set) but what I want to buy is a set for timed track events although I don't want to be replacing them every outing

Many members on the MK1 forum suggest the Avon CR6ZZ is the best track tyre for a Mini before you start getting into an all out Dunlop Miglia slick tyre.

It has a much firmer side wall than a Yokohama so won’t fold under itself or overwork the tread as easily.

Sorry about another question track days or events as often there are a list of approved Tyres that you can chose from.

It's not that formal as it's basically open sprint days to dip a toe ect, I should of said though my wheels are 12 inch and I don't think they do the avons in that size although I've found the other two I mentioned.

Then sorry but I would still read the rules and regs for whoever runs the events you may proceed onto as you find you have the wrong tyres and be put on a class where you are just there as you don’t fit the rules.

I know you are just testing but.
