Just a heads up here guys that Payen have advised as of last Friday, they are no longer manufacturing the BK450 and the AF470 Head Gaskets.

Given that the A Series Engine is one of the worlds most popular engines for tuning (still to this day !) I'm sure alternatives will soon pop up.

Minispares still have my preference, the AF470 in stock so I've ordered a few.

Thanks for info Chris  ;D

I've just ordered a dozen of them.
I prefer to build engines with BK450s as they're 3.4cc, then use an AF470,(4cc), on future rebuilds if anything needed surfacing to keep CR to original build.

I fitted one of these last year before IMM and it’s been fine, seems to be similar design and construction to the Payen ones and still readily available

There is a German Manufacturer, Victor Reinz, who do presently manufacture small bore head gaskets. I've fitted a couple of these and they do seem very good and they are very sensibly priced. As yet, they aren't doing big bore head gaskets, that may change though.

Someone I follow on YouTube who builds a lot of vauxhall z20 and z20let engines really rates the Victor Reinz gaskets, they also make some of the OEM gaskets for GM
