..paying someone to fix it up, as you put it, is likely to set you back at least £10K. A full, professional, restoration is likely to be double that, and some..

As per previous comments; an enthusiast looking for a new project to get stuck into themselves, or with deep enough pockets to get someone to do the work for them might net you £1500 or more. A dealer wanting to restore and sell it on would, as you know, want to pay as little as possible...

Unless you have the space, time, lots of money and the skills to restore diy sell it asap......sadly the longer you leave it outside the worse it will get and in the end will only be worth scrap value based on any useful parts that can be sold.

The latest series of Bangers & Cash restoration on TV is showing how a finished restored classic car is rarely worth what it costs to repair, especially if you have to pay someone to fix it.....in most cases you are better off buying one already restored to a good standard and not leaving it parked outside in all weathers.

That's gonna take some work.

As for the year, it's a factory fit SPI Japan with 134a gas but still using a traditional coil not the coil-pack as used on MPI. Factory A/C production started about May '94 and MPI came in 96, so that dates it pretty well !
