Japanese spec doesn't seem to be worth as much as UK spec, despite what the ads on Ebay say. Probably worth £2000 to the right person, as it needs £2000+ spending on it (based on your breakdown), but more like £2500-3000 if you do it properly, depending on if you do the work yourself or a garage does it, obviously the labour will be killer.

Thanks everyone.
Next question - best place to sell?

Just advertise in all the usual places - forums, Faceache, gumtree.... If you have the patience of a saint then ebay.
There's someone in Mini Chat on here looking for a project right now.

The £2000 estimate looks about right to me. There's a lot of welding to be done, but it's the usual places.
Isn't it spi because all japanese ones are spi?
I might be wrong but I read that they were all spi.

Would love to have one, just so I can say I have a jdm with aircon. 😁

That looks like a more-or-less totl restoration including much welding and new panels.
One might wonder what the engine & gearbox are like.
Personally I would say around £1500 to £1700.

JDM cars are worth good money generally because they are not rotten. I’ve bought two and both were minty. Unfortunately looking at the pics yours has succumbed to rust and is now like a U.K. model of similar age which probably means it is lesser value as some folk are wary.
Minis in this condition are £2k upwards all day as the motor and gearbox if solid will be £800 up alone.
