[DUF2]

My car runs on 12” wheels and has been fitted with wheel arch extensions.

I am not sure they have been correctly located.

They have been fitted as in 1 in the drawing below. I think they should be fitted as 2.

What are  your thoughts?

Both can be correct.  Neither or original.

The Mini Special arches fitted since the '80s were as per diagram 2. If arches are fitted as in 1 there is an increased possibility of contact when the suspension is compressed because you've reduced the clearance, it's not "wrong" but it's something to be aware of.
