What is the best sealant to use on the underneath of the car where the panels join please?
Is it something like flexible sealant?
Thanks

A lot of people talk about "tiger seal". Not used it yet myself though, but will be soon.

Tiger Seal is decent. I used it on all the seams and welds on mine and its been fine so far. Just don't breathe in the fumes!

Halfords sell brush on Upol sealant. Supposed to be one of the best. Goes on like treacle and takes paint on top.

I have the UPOL brush on, and it's very difficult to get an acceptable finish, almost impossible in fact.

If can afford it or know someone in the aviation sector then i can recommend Pro-seal 870 B1/2 or B2.
Far far superior to anything you normally find for a car but at a price.

I like to use any of the sealing products from Innotec. Always a quality product and never disappoints, but to get the best results their spray guns have to be used when applying. With practice factory like appearance to seams can be achieved.
Not the cheapest but one oft he best in my opinion.

I prefer to use PU sealant that's designed for spraying.
It is much runnier and can be caulked in and then either brushed over or smoothed with a finger.
I use wurth dichtfix which is fantastic but only available to trade.
You can always search up sprayable PU sealant and find an alternative though.
Adhesive sealant like tiger seal is good but can be a pain to work with being so thick and sticky.
Brush on sealer in a tin is ok if you aren't worried about a perfectly neat finish as it does tend to drag and some shrink as they dry too.
Cheers

Might say brush on but as you say finish tends to be a mess, but have found a way of getting a good result this way if this helps:
* Mask either side of the seal you want covered.
* Use a putty knife to roughly dob sealant along the line.
* Use a cloth or paper wipe to run along the length in one pass.
* Quickly remove the masking and do another wipe to finish.
No faffing about though - you have to be quick.

$50 a tube. I went through on my car 5 tubes. I used shelf life expired which was being disposed of. So like I said it’s not cheap but as it’s an Anti Corrosion sealant with massive temperature range it’s more than you could ever need on a mini.
I used Upol brush on once and it was utter pants.

Teroson products are used in OEM plants from new and then in body repair to maintain body warranty.
