Bosanova, your Mini looks great, did you have any more pictures on your front Diff setup? From what I could see there were two sprockets, and a diff mounted with pillow blocks.

Any chance of some more photos?

Better/cheaper, unfortunatly not both together, I made it chain drive which is cheaper but has no reverse but one can be fitted and the maintenance of the chain to consider. I haven't went mad trying to cram it all in a standard length round front, it will need to be extended by 3.5 inches but I'm happy with that, to give that extra much needed space

Hello Dave,
No, I got bits made and I made bits, the diff is a Quaife ATB, the bearings are sealed versions, the diff plates laser cut to my dxf file, the bearing carriers machined by a local firm and the sprocket from B&C express from a blank to suit the bolt pattern on the diff

If you mean my R1 mini that started this thread ? LOL
I ran if for about one summer , worked good, missed having a reverse . But as i cant leave anything alone i am working on another engine conversion/hybrid for it.

hey every1 i have read this whole topic very interesting, and some very good ideas,
i am building something similar myself, but i was thinking if i used the original gearbox and shafts and run 4th gear normally would this work???????
by doing this i would still have reverse too??
