I'm looking to buy a new distributor as mine is worn i have seen ones from £70 from accuspark and powerspark to the more expensive 123 and csi. I wanted to know what your thoughts are about 123 and csi as I have read some really goof reviews about both of these.

I've been running a couple of CSI's for over 8 years now. I can't fault them. Easy to find cap and buttons for. They have a sensible choice of curves.

I've used both and prefer Swiftune's CSI.  The 123 that I have is older and requires removal to change the curve, Swiftune's doesn't.

I’ve just fitted the Swiftune CSI and it’s spot on. Easy to use and switch between curves.

There's a different set of curves in Swifties that better suit their Cams, and likely others, though, the 'standard' CSI will also go a long way here.

There's also an optional model available with the CSI for an Anti-theft device, where it needs a 'fob' (that come with it) in order to start.

We've been running a 123 in an MGA for years and it's been pretty good, but I have no means of comparing it to the CSI module. The downside to a 123 can be that it looks non-original which can be a turnoff for some people. Ours is an old model with a pretty backward way of setting the curves, from what I understand that system is now greatly improved and can even be done by Bluetooth on some models. You can also use the Bluetooth connectivity to drive a digital dash if you like, and use it to lock the system so it cannot be started without putting a PIN in first.

I'm not worried about the look. I dont mind paying more money as long as it will last and the quality is good.

I'd like to suggest here, if you know what curve your engine needs, it would be far cheaper to buy a new distributor to suit or have one overhauled and set up for your requirements. While I find the CSI is great and I have no issues with the quality of them, they are frightfully expensive. I originally only went to these as new distributors with known reliable curves weren't available at the time I needed them and I didn't have time and the parts to re-curve another.
