Oh Chris my dear boi
with that sexual motor you have I would only go with NS-2R or the AR-1, a539's on mine with about 90 to the wheels were fun but didn't like 1st gear at all, so I imagine you would have a little less fun with them with the power you're gonna make..

Thank you for the timely update!
I am currently on the hunt for a set of 175 50 13s myself as my tires still look new - but are quite old!

I'm having a bit of difficulty locating any tires in 175 50 13... Does anyone have experience with any other 'close' sizes? - Maybe 185 50 13, 185 60 13 or something similar - would any other options even work for the mini?
Thank you in advance!

Beware anything that says "classic" I got some yokohama 10" 145/10 classic and they have a very narrow tread. They would look just fine on an early standard 850 with 3.5 rims but don't look right on 4.5 rims at all. those Dimax look to me to have the same problem - great for a truer classic car look, but not for anyhting sporty.

Well, I was wholly unsuccessful locating 175 50 13s locally. Going the extra mile for a customer is not something that is to be expected. I searched also in California (US), as I imagined the tire suppliers (on-line or brick & mortar stores) would be able to source these - somehow - but they all threw up their arms in defeat. - One after the other... but at least they tried!
Even the factory reps (I listened in on the calls with Yokohama US reps... ) who, while acknowledging their company made the tires (I provided them the European web page for Yokohama listing the size) they just said that they would not be able to get them.
In the end, I ordered a set from John Brown Wheels - who seemed well-versed in shipping products abroad (a pleasant surprise!).
I did find a couple of american sources specializing in foreign cars who would be able to supply the tires in California (they are also purchasing these from the UK or Europe) - but I saved a few bucks buying directly.
I decided to try the Yokohama A539s as it seems they are a bit more compliant (for road comfort) relative to the Nankangs. I am looking forward to trying them out.
We'll see how long they take to get to me on this side of the pond. I had them shipped to an address in California so that they are less likely to go missing...

Bit late to the party but I believe the tyre size used on Fiat Seicentos are of similar overall sidewall height.
