Here's how I did mine, or rather, how the cunning Professor Piehead did mine:

Folded some thin ally sheet and jammed it up under the window rubber.  No glueing, no screwing.

Yeah - like I said - wish I'd thought of using just an inside onto the glass type of thing like you have.

These are off a VW transporter.

Should look alright when it's finished eh?

 

I definitely wanted a high level brake light, hopefully reduce the chance of a rear ender.
