ok, onto the minor finishing now.
I put the shell back on the spit to add some tabs to the underside of the floor
I fished out the front half of the old floor and am looking to remove one of the multi tabs from the front beside the footwell and three of the big ones that hold the fuel line.
The new floor being a later injection type has the extended battery cable channel eliminating the need for a multi tab at the front that side and it comes pre fitted with tabs to hold the brake line.
Hetre is the multi tab cleaned up and ready to go
And then welded and dressed up
And then after removing and sandblasting the fuel line tabs, they are ready to go also
I also had to transfer over the heelboard tab as there isnt one on the new floor this side
And then I spent some time on the endless task of cleaning up the inside ready for primer
More of that to come.
Cheers
Ben

I'm still in limbo: retaining the tabs or replace them with P-clips to prevent rust..
Question: the floor draining holes.. Will you plug them with a rubber grommet/stopper, the standard tin plugs that have those folding legs at the outside or are you welding in 25mm metal discs?
I'm thinking of welding in metal circles myself to get a flush floor on the outside.
What is your approach/take on this?

I have the correct floor bungs to use so will be installing those.
As for the fuel line tabs, I think as long as they are all sealed up, there shouldn't be any trouble with rust in the future.

I'm gradually winning with the inside prep work.
It always amazes me still how long this takes!
