Hi all think these are clim air from Minispares, fit at the top of the doors to stop wind noise, just read loads of threads on this and mixed opinions on them, anyway all I need to know is do the fit in the Chanel the glass runs in or do the fit between the rubber and metal door frame urself

Anyone got a picture or fitting info on this I’m getting different answers here ?‍♂️ As with all the threads I’ve read, some say in the rubber some say between the frame ?

Hi Leepol83! Fitted them to my old Cooper Sport & Mini 40. Buying another set for the City! I find them useful, more so at higher speed or long distance/motorway driving. Also come in handy when it’s raining and you need the window down to demist everything without getting wet!

Fitted two sets inside rubber channel, there’s a sticky strip on them, pop them in, put the window up and leave for several hours.

Worked for me. Try them and you can always sell them on. Sometimes don’t waste time reading reviews...only get more confused! You should’ve fitted them to your old City.?

No you’re not, I think it’s just being described differently.

Yes it goes into the channel (the door frame itself) where the rubber sits, but not the part of the rubber where the window slots into.

Pull the rubber out, Peel the sticky strip off the deflector, stick the deflector to the frame, put rubber back into frame, wind window up.

Window will be very difficult to close the last inch because the deflector squeezes the rubber shut slightly. My electric windows used to bounce back down so I ripped them back out and put them in the bin

Reality is that if fitted as per the instruction the windows do not close without significant force. 

They work much better between the rubber and the glass - this is how mine are and have been for about 5 years without issue.

As these are tinted, do they also act as a bit of a sun visor when the sun is at the side?

Mine too. I trial fitted mine between the metal frame and window seal and couldn't close the window.  The curved body of the deflector guides the window into place as you close.

 

Mine are the climair version and the fitting instructions are clear

 

Starting from the mirror end use both hands to ease the milled edge of the deflector into the rest of the window channel not between the rubber and the metal frame.

It's also worth noting that these are not really meant to aid driving around with the windows fully down, they're not really big enough. These are at their best when you drop the window 1"-1.5" as they allow air into the car for demisting, stop the rain, and reduce wind noise.  Love mine.

Mine are the same make, but it looks like they’ve improved the instructions.

Got these Heko ones £29.01 including delivery 48 hours from ordering.

Fitted easily.

I'll let you know how they perform and try to get some better pictures, they're not easy to photograph on the car.
