Hi all

I have been a long time forum user but sadly sold my last FWD A-series a long time ago.

 

Things changed and after a brief foray into MG Midget ownership and in particular a 1380 powered beast I was again hooked on the great A-series engine.

 

That Midget went to its new owner to be transferred into a Lotus Eleven project, anyway I digress.

 

I'm now the proud owner of a 1965 Morris Minor and recently obtained a 1293 MG Midget engine which was seized due to being laid up in a garage for years.

 

I intend to build a 1330 engine and up to now I have stripped it to the bare block ready for ultrasonic cleaning and readying it for reboring, its been a long time since I was involved in A-series engine builds but can anyone recommend a company or companies that can carry out the machining work (rebore, machine the faces and cylinder head machining) in the Manchester or Lancashire area?

Excellent.  He relinered my block 5000 miles ago and yes, nice bloke, though I've only ever spoken on the phone to him.
