More changes to the mini :

  • 5x10 minilites
  • changed the rear slave cylinder from .75" to 0.5" bore ( as on hard braking the rear would always want to swing out )
  • changed the brake pads to a set of mintex 1144 ( bit of an upgrade from the ebc greenstuff, they are quite a bit better than the ebc"s especially after they've got some heat in them )

Now waiting for the roll cage to arrive ( got a full safety devices cage on the way ) as well as a set of takata harnesses.

Finally installed the full 6 point safety devices cage with the harness bar and takata 4 point harnesses ( with ASM - anti submarining ). Still need to give it a good clean reinstall the carpets and passenger seat and door bars. Another big job done from the never ending list. The car also feels so much tighter and responsive than before handling wise !

Haven't posted in while as i have just been enjoying the mini as is. VRT ( MOT equivalent ) was due this year so sorted that out last month, passed with flying colours, the tester kept on mentioning how well the engine ran and how little emissions it produced .....
Also yesterday i finally installed my homemade cold air intake ( designed on fusion 360 and than 3d printed using ASA filament for anyone wondering ). Now the weber can actually get some fresh air rather than just hot air.
More mods hopefully coming soon....

Finally built my dream setup - split 45 webers. having some problems with setup tho seems like it needs re-jetting big time. I also plumbed in an accusump for pre oiling and surge protection  ( never had any issues but an extra precaution )

Finally sorted it out, idles at 14.8-15 afr. Still need to go for a proper drive and see how it performs under load but looking good so far.
