Hi guys,

I have a specific question about the interface between central locking kit MSSK2001

and keyless entry kit mssk2002.

I have wired everything in and the central locking kit works as it should, when I press the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob however only the park lamp flash and interior light functions work. It seems the door lock signals aren't triggering the central locking system to activate.

I have wired the green and blue wires from the keyless entry system (Excalibur KE-170) to the blue and red lock and unlock wires of the central locking unit. I have also tried reversing these with no improvement.

I have a suspicion that perhaps they KE-170 isn't sending the negative pulse that the central locking control box requires to lock and unlock the doors. In the instruction manual the KE-170 has several wiring options, I have followed the first one titled "3 wire negative door locks with unlock function using included DLP-N4 (standard installations).

Does anyone have any experience interfacing these two and can think of anything I might have done wrong?

Cheers

It's more than ten years since I fitted mine. I might have the wiring diagram but it'd take some digging to find it.

The thing that stands out, to me, is that the door lock motors are Five wire, not three. They may have changed them, I don't know, but that's where I'd suggest looking first.

OK, I worked it out, I needed to splice the blue and green wires from the keyless entry unit (KE-170) into the brown and purple wires from the door lock actuators. Works a treat now!
