Overall it's good. The front end needs work. It's had a hybrid marcos-Jem nose job, which isn't to my standard. I do like the Jem noses so have been in contact with the Marcos club about a new mini-jem nose cone.

Small update....had to pop over to Birmingham so swung by the storage to pick up the Marcos front subframe and boxes of "bits". No idea what's in them so will have a sort out. Subframe needs to be checked for alignment before going to the powdercoaters next week.

Found the original seats. Too narrow for my hips but I've already got seats sorted.

Garage prep and final sort out. Picked up a car lift at the NEC resto show. Marcos should be here in a few weeks.

Stripped off the old gaiters and gave the rack a quick paint of rustoleum. Track rods ends are good so will be reused.

Dropped the fuel tank out last night. Pulled the fuel level sender out and it looked brand new inside. Tank now at the powdercoaters

This leccy pump was also underneath. Will see if it works. It's possibly never been used as the filter is old but unused.

Chiselling out a load of bloody expanding foam and some shoddy DIY fibreglassing.

First bits of glassing to fill in the going rear light holes.

Tonight I've rebuilt the drivers side front subframe mount. At the factory they layered in a 2mm piece of mild sheet steel. They all explode after years of moisture getting in. The options are to replace with mild steel or 304 stainless steel. The third option after speaking with other Marcos owners is to use a layer of carbon weave along with CSM and wovening roving alternating.

Handily I had some carbon fabric so have layered it in tonight. About 9 layers. I'll also use a steel spreader washer plate under the bolts too.

Rebuilt the passenger side front subframe mount today. About 12 layers with carbon fabric in there too.

Drivers side rear subframe heelboard mount. steel has exploded and popped the gelcoat. First job last night was to glass in layers of CSM, woven and a layer of carbon on the inside. Tonight i'll dig out the rust, clean and glass in. Not replacing the steel as I'm using a 5mm steel base plate on the inside as part of the rollcage mounting.
