I’ve never seen a blade fuse one that looks the same.

if you want it look the same, what’s wrong with using glass fuses?

Autosparks supplied a new mini loom to me many years ago with a blade fuse box. It’s a generic one, and I’ve been looking for a more mini looking one ever since, but have never been able to find one suitable.

This is what I have:

Ive fitted one of these myself;

The mounting holes are the exact dimensions of that of the glass fuse holder, along with being pretty much the same lenght/size.

Only problem is it has one spade terminal on each side instead of two, but i got around that with a dremel opening up the holes slightly so i could fit these;

With a bit of finess they fit great, you could do the same using some piggyback terminals but that means cutting wires you might otherwise not have/want to do.

Spade terminals - https://www.vehiclew...-blade-2-into-1

Edit: Excuse the rust and dirt, just thought i'd add a picture of it fitted.

Just get hold of an old glass fuse box and give it a good clean up, I do mine every two years.

All I do is remove it and clean the terminals, the rivets and then polish it up. Then I wax the plastic.

They work fine and I think im still using the original on two of my minis

Be aware that glass fuses and blade fuses are rated differently and you can't get a blade fuse that's equivalent to the 35A glass fuse.

Wired by Wilson does a blade fuse conversion for a classic mini. It doesn't look like the original though.
