The last stage is on the pictures #40 comment I sent. I have no update since then from the paintshop but I will visit them this week.
What you see is a thick layer of polyester primer that will be sanded back for a smooth surface.I believe this process is in progress. After that they spray putty on it which has to dry for two weeks because it shrinks. Next step is some sanding :) And finally goes the base coat, lacquer and polish.

I was just looking your first post to see what the original colour was, seemed to be red, and you wanted to paint it Damask red.
That's not exactly red to me
Change in mind during the rebuild?
It is still a lovely colour (antilope?) and quite rare on Minis. Looking very smart!!
