hi you all
i'm nick from belgium and started a new project for track use
i'm building a classic mini vtec b16a1 turbo awd with 4x4 pieces from a honda crv and a rear axle from a mazda mx5 miata with radiator in the back
i hope the engine makes around 300-400hp in the future :D
i made everything myself,
on the pictures you can see how far i am at the moment
sorry for my bad englisch :shy:

Cool! I didn't realise the Honda transfer drive gear was the same ratio as the FD on the MX5! That's convenient!

No using mx5 diff. I already build the crv diff in the mazda subframe?

Also made the mazda subframe 20 cm smaler for correct wheelbase.
Now busy making boostpipes

Hi Nick,

That’s great work, I’m particularly interested in the chop down of the MX5/ Miaita rear subframe.

I am doing a RWD Electric conversion on a mini moke, and using an MX5 rear would be loads cheaper than a new custom sub frame from minitec whoever.

Do you think it would fit under the floor in a std mimi or would it make the car loads higher? I’m not bothered about larger wheels, I think they will look cool on a moke
