this is driving me nuts lol

i need to change my radiator cap on a 1990 mayfair

when the car was restored it had a alloy rad put in - make unknown

now i have tried a couple of mini sites JBW & Mini spares etc and apart from the pressure ratings none do a smaller version of the std cap

my radiator neck and cap are much smaller that the standard size one?

will need to measure it but any suggestions where to by a smaller cap from?

Thanks

Lenny

If the rad make is not known you will have fun.

The Mini only had two caps the standard one and the MPi screw on version.

Pictures and measurements of your current one may help.

Or just take the cap to your local auto factors and see what they can do.

Well apart from its 1.1 bar and the small round part that fits into the radiator is approximately 28cm I have no other info best take a picture and see if anyone can help
Seems abit extreme to have to buy a new radiator lol

28 cm I think you need to go to one of the super size truck stores for that huge rad cap.

Think i saw a thread before with someone saying their rad cap looked like a normal one however the throat of their rad was deeper so the rubber seal didnt seat on the rad.

All the cheap chinese alloy rads seem to use small japanese car type caps. (Not jap mini rad caps)
