Some of my photos below of road and race Minis taken at the Brands Hatch Mini Festival last Saturday.
For me the event is no where near as good as it used to be when all Mini/MINIs arriving and the driver got inside the circuit for free, tickets are now £25 per person and after 9am Minis are sent to the general parking areas unless pre-booked in, so the Mini show side is not as well supported or organised as before and I think the few Mini traders present struggle for customers. Weather forecast on Saturday may also have put off some and the Sunday is usually better attended plus weather was sunny. Also the lack of any Historic Mini races in recent years has not helped the event with some non-Mini single seater racing added to pad out the day. The Mini Sevens, Mini Miglias and Mighty Mini's provided close, exciting races as usual with a few incidents on Paddock Hill Bend!
