I had to fabricate an adjuster for it out of scrap ali checker plate.

Working alone with only one good arm does have its challenges at times. The torque required to remove or tighten the crankshaft nut was a bit of a challenge when I had two good arms, but by bolting a piece of angle iron to the water pump bolt holes it made the job easy.

This is a flange that I made to mount my Mikuni carbouretor to the Metro inlet manifold.

Added two posts to hold the next flange to hold it all together.

And that flange needed adapting to take the tube that goes to the air filter.

_{The tube has a 180 degree bend that came off of a rover V8 intake. Holding it up to the old engine to make sure it will all fit nicley.}

And now to make it stay there in an easily removable way.

The next job was to remove the old engine to make way for the new... eventually.

But first I had to drop the front subframe, which needs a good clean up and a lick of paint.

The next thing was to remove those pesky springs. The suspension cone strut (trumpet) has managed to attach itself to the rubber doughnut like a limpet on steroids. Getting them out without parting them is not a proposition that I want to take on again.

Cutting rubber is a lot harder than you would think so i cut the aluminium trumpet in order to turn the doughnut in order to winkle them out.
