i need to order some wheel bearings and I've been looking online for them (eBay obviously lol)

are they different for the 7.5's and 7.9's? as i cannot remember what size mine are right now as i haven't used them yet or near them and i need to order some.

There for a K series conversion should I go for the tapered ones, over the normal ones? as I'm sure I've read there stronger or something.

any input would be appreciated

thanks guys

They're all the same size, do yourself a favour and don't buy cheap bearings, get genuine Timkins from a reputable supplier.
Search on here for problems with cheap non genuine timkin bearings.

When you say 'K Series Conversion' is that just the engine/gearbox or the front hubs too ?

Minis with discs use Timkin taper roller bearings front and rear. All the other Minis use ball bearing sets. The dimensions are the same.

Metros on the other hand have no need of taper roller bearings so did not have them fitted. But if you are not using wheels designed for the Metro then it is unlikely the bearings as Metro standard will be suitable.

To sum up more info needed.

Fit Classic Mini Timkin tapers on all 4 hubs, be it drum or disc brake. Ball bearings are a pain in the A as they fall apart when removed for servicing etc.

Do not buy individual bearings and try and make your own sets, it will only end in tears. Classic minis have wheel bearing set ups like no other cars have O_O

Anything special required Nick? Or just a straight swap?

They should be a straight swap the same as fitting the ball bearings to the disc brake hubs. Dimensionally they are identical.
