Hi. Yeah sure I'll try to remember tomorrow. Basically there is a short flat steel bar welded to the subframe with 2 holes in it. The cable is fixed there with a p clip and then to the bottom of the subframe halfway along with another p clip. Can you take some pictures of the battery cable at the rear once fixed in place? Does it fix to the rear subframe or just go straight in to the channel on the floor?
Cheers Ben

Uh-oh BenR...is that going to be the build level on your resto? ? Back when I was in my early 20's my mate had a Fiesta (the very square original type) and we always joked that all that was keeping it together was cable ties and scotch locks ??

Hi Ben,
stunning work.
What first primer do you use on a bare metal restoration ?
Pete.

If I have a shell blasted, it comes back in etch primer. That's the best base really.

I have finished cleaning up and refitting the o/s/r running gear. This was yesterday. Not had any time on the Mini today
All the brakes have been replaced. The bearings were as new so were removed, cleaned, regreased and refitted.
And in answer to the question regarding the battery cable route, here are some photos
Cheers

A bit more done today.
I have finished re-assembling the nearside rear corner
And run the handbrake cable
And then fitted the rear wheels so that I can get the car lower to start installing the wiring looms

Cheers John.Looking good Ben , are you carrying out the conversion works to the engine?
Yes I will be doing the s works conversion here.
I hope to get the engine in tomorrow but there are a million other things to do to the car so it may be next week now. The s works kit is ordered but there is quite a long lead time on it and I don't actually have a date for delivery yet.
Cheers

Headlining today!
All good. I can definitely recommend this headliner, the quality is great and it is easy to fit. It came from Optimise Automotive if anyone is interested. There are sunvisors trimmed in the same soft material to fit as well.
Cheers

That's good to know, I got some samples from them for when the day comes so useful to know it's a good quality product!
