Great work Ben (as always), nice choice of colour, is it a leyland paint colour?

Hi John. Thanks for the kind words.Great work Ben (as always), nice choice of colour, is it a leyland paint colour?
The colour is not a Leyland colour. It's a new Aston Martin colour called flugplatz blue.its going to be paired with a white roof, mirrors, Cooper pin stripes, laurels and bonnet stripes with some black details

I have been prepping the epoxy ready for topcoat the past few days.
I have done one panel at a time and not moved onto the next until I am satisfied with each. Its the best way to make sure nothing is missed.
Predictably there were a few minor imperfections that the epoxy had shown up which I sorted and spot primed with etch.
I only had one strange issue which I have seen before but i'm sure this one wasn't like it before. Perhaps it was just fractured?
I welded it up
Getting close to top coat now.

Mine has the same crack at the bonnet closure.

Looking at your last photo Ben, is there evidence of a crack beginning directly opposite the one you've repaired?

Thankfully no.
It's just a nick out of the edge.

I Scotched up the stonechip and bagged up the shell this afternoon then topcoated the underside.
As the entire shell is now prepped, I shall re-mask in the morning and paint the interior of the shell.
Cheers
