Looking good Ben, have you had it running yet?

Not had it running yet. I'm waiting on specialist components to come back to me about a wiring query.
It is otherwise ready to turn over though.

I'm keeping a close eye on this one. I have had a SC kit sat in a box for over 4 years now never fitted. I'm also very tempted to pull the trigger on the Cooper S conversion. I'll be round when the time is right for a chat Ben.....

How have I missed this build, this is one very decent late shell to start off with, and yet another cracking car turned out by you guys. nice work

Looking so good.  Its giving me plenty of motivation on how I would like my build to turn out.

Bonnet and Bootlid painted

 

 

 

And bonnet fitted

 

 

Bootlid is not yet fitted as I had to repaint it due to a run.

 

Most of the chrome work has been sanded and hung in the booth

That's acid etch, 1 dust coat followed by one full coat. That's flashing off now as I type

 

Final finish will be revealed once I have had the thumbs up from the owner as we are still not 100% decided on what it will be yet!

You are quite right, it will need an hour on the rolling road to tune it up properly but the base map is pretty good.

I have now fitted the bootlid after repainting it

 

 

And by fitting the numberplate lamp, I have reunited the first part I painted with the last!
