Hi forum folk, does anybody know where i can get the 3/16" UNF riv nut mandrel or complete tool for fitting the door mirror rivit nuts to the door skins?
Searched the usual places but 3/16" UNF seems to be an odd size?
Thanks Paul.

just use a well lubricated bolt some washers and a nut,
and a couple of spanners.

That's what I use as I'm too tight to buy the tool.

Have you a supplier for UNF Rivnuts?
I've looked, Metric is no issue of course and I've found UNC and Whitworth but not UNF.

Basic rivnut tool on ebay is £12 including assorted rivnuts (metric). I suppose I'm less fussed about originality, but it's been very useful for the money.

Don't you have to be able to get to both sides to do that?
nope. bolt to hold the rivnut inplace and the nut to pull the bolt up to compress the rivnut. a bit of a faf but it works and is great on the bigger threads.

It didn't work for me.. maybe I'm doing it wrong, but the rivnut just spun. I cheated and put it (10-32 unf) on a metric mandrel hand tight and use the normal tool. This worked and the thread was fine for the unc screw afterwards.
you hold the bolt and tighten the nut to pull the bolt up to compress the rivnut.
