I am looking to find the cheapest option in order to fit a custom table setup for my mini in the boot. Essentially, i have a table setup that can slide out from the boot but currently the lid opening restricts it. I need it either remove it, or have an option to fold it out an additional 45 degree or so.

 

If i go for the removable boot lid option, are there any DIY guides or kits I can purchase?

push the pivot pins out to seperate the two parts then cut an opening in the upper part and press the pin back into the lower part. you can then hook the two together on the car and use as normal or unhook to give better access.

 

some ideas i was using bolts as the original parts were in poor condition.

was going to use removable pins but too fiddly for me.

so drilled out for some lager bolts as the original pins were shot.
