Hello!  

Recently picked up this fun little cabriolet since my '09 JCW was feeling a bit roomy.  Much of the history of this car has been lost with previous owners but I'm wondering if anyone here can help me learn a little more about this convertible version?  The top style seems different than most i'm able to look up on the forum as part of the roof structure slides along the moke-style rails.  

 

So far I've just had to do small things like bulbs, fuses, indicator stalk, and fluids.  Can't wait to spend some more time exploring and tinkering with this guy.  This has to be the most fun you can possibly have at or around the speed limit!  Now I just need to fit a proper bike rack...

I do not think you really want to go digging.

 

but if you do pop the hood and post some images.

 

may be see if there is a VIN stamped in the water channel between the wipers. and the VIM number will help ID what the base car was but it does not look factory.

That looks remarkably similar to a DMS (Dorset Motor Services) DIY convertible kit

(also sold by Pan Am Conversions as the Mini Manhattan).
