So I have 1275 Gt rebuilt project of mine for a long time. I am finishing off the front subframe rebuild I am looking to get the copper piping in place. I have purchased from mini spares the precut copper to the correct lengths but not sure how to lay it down. The Haynes manual is not very clear and I am due I don’t have all of the parts I just want to ensure I do before I start. Does any one have some clearer pics or a guide?

well you need some of the brake components in place first.

from the car right side you have a banjo bolt holding a splitter piece in place on top of the brake hose. this banjo bolt may be you Brake light switch. then the front piece goes across the front of the subframe to the other brake hose. now the threaded end of the hose may be different as the one that takes the banjo bolt should be deeper. note before fitting the hoses the calipers should be fitted with the hoses attached. the pipe across the subframe is held by 2 clips IIRC. the pipe from the splitter to the part mounted on the car should be left until the subframe is in the car.

You miht just be able to make out the brake pipe in this picture:

Obviously you don't need the bend at the front to get around the MPI radiator mounting points.

I've seen too many projects that have bought pipe kits and they've ended up being too long or short, so I bought a 25m reel of pipe and made all my own fittings

Looking on the MiniSpares site, they mention Copper/Nickel alloy.

Cheers everyone for your comments. The picture will be a help along with the list of extra bits I probably do not have yet.
