This post is related to my other post on what gearbox bearings to buy, but I figured I'd best post this as a separate question as that post is a little older now and was assuming I had a 4 synchro gearbox.
I have an A+ engine and (i think) a 4 synchro gearbox, but Im a little confused as I have this gear here that looks like the 2A3709 (1st motion roller for 3 synchro) and also I only count 3 synchros on my partially disassembled main gear set. Basically now Im confused if my gearbox is 3 synchro or 4. I definitely have the 3 step layshaft so it should be the 4 synchro type but this gear here is just confusing me. The 3 synchro roller is extremely expensive and I want to be absolutely sure before i buy it.
here are the pics. maybe someone can recognise what bearing this is.
Note the big nut on the first pic.
