Hello,

Thought best to start a thread where I can post my updates of on-going jobs and trials and tribulations of my 1981 Californian 1275cc Moke that I refer to as "Mighty Moke".

I have owned MM since 1997 and for the first 8yrs it was my daily driver. I have basically rebuilt it over the years as things broke or needed maintenance. Back in about 2008 the gearbox had a major failure so whilst saving funds I gave it a "Homey" respray. Nowadays MM is on Historic Rego that gives me 90 days a year on a reduced registration fee, so MM gets used 1-2 days a week as deemed necessary by the weather, if its too wet to ride I drive MM, or the Saturday visit to the parents when my dog gets his Mokin fix.

Just last week I finally gave the Speedo a little love and replaced the globe holders gave it a clean up and replaced the bezel with a nice shiny Chrome one.

Pete's Moke is really tidy and well kept - too much so for my liking !

He has done a really good job of bring back to scratch and continues to do so with his maintenance.

Mighty Moke scored himself a nice Stainless Exhaust a few weeks back.

Unfortunately a very tough start to the year for me so Forums have been neglected, but not the Moke :)

I know it hasn’t been the best mate, but happy to see you guys are moving on.

Looking forward to seeing this nice bit of polished stainless
