Hey all,
Since its going to be a while until i drive my mini in the warmer months I thought id swap out my old cooling system as its been leaking slightly and I want to clean up the engine bay. There is no "need" to do it, more so just an urge to make things nice and shinny.
Does anyone have a cooling diagram that I can follow to see what parts I need?
What is the whole debate on bypass or no bypass? Do I need any new parts to bypass/ non bypass the system? (i.e new water pump etc)
I have a 998 with a heater matrix inside. My PO tubed up the heated inlet manifold and Id like to remove that. Id also like to add a copper pipe heater thingy: https://www.catmint....j5mkoqqfj7sqm5
and an engine mounted heater valve: http://www.minispare...x|Back to shop
My plan would be to get a fletcher 2core with silicon hoses from huddersfield/similar. I believe that everything is there that I need? https://www.minispar...8cc-grh245-kit/
-top radiator hose goes from the top of the radiator to the thermostat housing
-bypass hose goes from the water pump to the bottom of the head
-bottom radiator hose goes from the bottom of the radiator to?????
-heater hoses: 1 goes from the head mounted heater valve to the matrix, and the second goes from the matrix to????
-If I add the copper pipe (linked above), that goes from the heater valve to the heater matrix right? (its just an extension/segment right?)
Thanks.
