A brand new Austin Mini parked on the first floor canopy of Barker's Kensington High Street department store which was giving away a Mini as a competition prize every week for six weeks in the run up to Christmas - 11th November 1966

If you look at the Dave Clark Five Mini Moke, you will see one of the then-new Cibie Oscar spotlights mounted centrally.
They had a metal black lamp cover with a small translucent circular piece and the cover was held on with a rubber elasticated strap. I had one on my then-new 1964 Cooper 998 with two Lucas 7" spots. I was asked what the thing in the centre was and I said it was a 'radar meter detector'. Some people actually believed it was!
