I was there. I was cutting around the back of some buildings (no idea why now) and I saw John Cooper come out of one of them. I might have spoken to him but he was with several other people so I didn't like to just barge in.
On a similar but different tack, I was flying out of London City early one morning (about 6am) when I realised I was standing next to (Sir) Geoff Hurst. I'm not sure who I regret not speaking to the most......

I had the pleasure of spending some time with Geoff Hurst when I was involved in a Pro-Celebrity charity event run by Vauxhall in the mid-80's. He is a great bloke and although I have no real interest in football, it was nice to meet him on a 1 to 1 basis.
My old friend, the late Barrie (Whizzo) Williams, introduced me to John Cooper in the BRDS Suite at Silverstone and we had drinks together. Another great character who was interesting to chat with.
