Other than just ‘nip them up’ what’s the proper torque on the rocker adjustment nuts when adjusting valve clearance?

Wow, never thought that it would be that high. Is that standard torque for that size thread or special for that application in the valve train? Thanks

That's the standard torque for the factory item.

 

As mentioned, that's the figure given for the Sintered type Rockers, which use the 5/16" UNF / 1/2" AF Hex Nuts, not the earlier M7 / 7/16" AF Hex Nuts.
