What is my best bet for a good clutch for 150ish now that grey dot diaphragms are unavailable. I have to start from scratch anyway would a verto clutch handle high output?

It's not HP that matters is torque output which will dictate clutch choice. Though with enough boost to make 150hp you're probably looking at making enough torque to require a grey diaphragm. As these aren't currently available you'll either have to go double grey, or build an RTS Verto clutch. The RTS will be far kinder on your thrust bearings.
If you're unsure what an RTS is, it's basically a modified Vetro fitted with two springs instead of the one. There's loads of info on turbominis if you have a look.

I have gone down the RTS route at much expense. My engine is nearly complete but the builder (who made up the clutch) is now saying there are issues getting free play. Would this have to do with the spacers being too long?? I did point out at the start that the spacers should be shorter than the originals by the thickness of the extra spring plate. He wants to alter or make a new cup that sits under the release bearing. I dont recall seeing this done by anyone on any of the RTS posts. Any help appreciated.
