So only just found out that you cant run a standard micra inlet manifold, there is no room is it's true? Has anyone got a easy guide to make a Inlet. iv seen a stainless flange on eBay. But how do you go about fitting the fuel rail

Hi,

I would think the stainless flange is for the exhaust?

Cheers  :proud:

Hi,

Well in that case you'll have to buy injector bosses, pipework and a throttle body flange and get it all tigged together.

Do fusion fabs make one or can the original be cut down and welded back together?

Another alternative would be some motorbike throttle bodies and use those with some stubs and silicon hoses on to that stainless flange.

Cheers  :proud:

Take the original micra inlet, cut off the runners, take some aluminium 90° bends and get those welded to what's left of the manifold. Once you've got the 4 new runners you need to make a plenum, this can be made from another piece of aluminium tubing with the throttle body on one end and the other end blanked off. It may be a good idea to fit small velocity stacks to the ends of the runners on the inside of the plenum to aid flow.

Assuming you can TIG weld you can make one up. I used a 4 inch 180 degree bent pipe that I got from eBay. I'll try to get a photo up.
I've got a Jenvy throttle body sitting for a later mod and was planning on making a carbon fibre plenum and runners bonded to the original flange and injectors. Should be easy enough!

I have a mate down the road who can fit I just have to make it and he will weld it up what size 90 bends did you use

Here is what I did.  Can't take the credit for the idea as I found it on another forum.
